Daiwa Plastic project - Phase 2 Completion of Fire protection & Handover of the project for use

Daiwa Plastic Phase 2 is one of the projects that “North Star” has attached great importance to in the Industrial market, with the source of FDI capital from Japan. The scope of work includes supplying and installing Mechanical and Electrical technical systems in the project. After 5 months of implementation, by mid-April 2023, “North Star” has completed the acceptance of fire protection and handed over all other Mechanical and Electrical systems to the Investor for use.

As an FDI project, under the supervision of the Japanese General Contractor, “North Star” always meets the requirements from design, acceptance of input materials, construction and installation, installation acceptance, trial run acceptance, and project handover.

For each project classified as Grade 3 or above, the milestone of fire protection acceptance is always an important milestone of the project, especially at a time when Vietnam's fire protection standards are being updated and constantly changing. Close monitoring of the progress from the design approval stage to construction work and acceptance is one of the strengths to bring the project to completion.

During the acceptance session, representatives of the leadership, project department, technical planning department, and the specialized fire protection consulting department of the company were present at the construction site, in collaboration with the Site Command Board, representatives of construction contractors, the main contractor, and the investor to coordinate with the local fire department to conduct inspections and acceptance of the fire protection system. The project has met the requirements of Vietnam's fire protection standards and has been put into use.

Parallel to the fire protection system acceptance test with the relevant authorities, representatives from all parties also conducted the acceptance test and handover of all other mechanical and electrical systems to the investor, such as air conditioning and ventilation systems, water supply and drainage systems, electrical and power supply systems, lightning protection and grounding systems, lighting and socket systems. The results showed that all these systems met the standards and were approved by the investor for handover and use.

To achieve these results, the company's leadership commended the efforts of the project team, especially the young engineers in the construction command, for their clear planning, proactive scheduling, and good collaboration with construction contractors. The project was closely supervised, and strict adherence to ISO 9001:2015 quality management and ISO 45001:2018 safety management processes ensured that the project stayed on schedule and achieved its initial objectives.

Therefore, for Daiwa, the investor in Vinh Phuc, “North Star” has successfully completed the handover of both phases of the project. Phase 1 began in 2018, and currently, Phase 2 in 2023. Another project has been completed safely and with high quality, ensuring progress, and serving as a testament to our professionalism as “North Star”.
