"North Star" continues to receive Re-Certification for ISO 45001:2018

With many years of experience in developing, applying, maintaining and improving in order to ensure effectiveness of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System as well as strict compliance with provisions of the law, “North Star” was honored to be re-certified for ISO 45001:2018 by the British Standards Institute (BSI) for the second consecutive period.

Re-certification was a recognition for efforts made by “North Star” during the first cycle of maintaining and applying the Occupational Health and Safety Management System since 2015 (OHSAS 18001:2007) and 2018 (ISO 45001:2018) after the British Standards Institute BSI together with ANSI National Accreditation Board carried out evaluating and certifying the ISO 45001:2018 standard for two fields: Construction of civil and industrial works; Mechanical manufacture and Installation of technology systems for civil and industrial works.

In particular, “North Star” not only has been met the requirements of ISO 45001:2015 standard and legal system of Vietnam and international law, but constantly standardized and improved its system and profession as well as committed to provide the best occupational health and safety conditions for employees according to the slogan as “Safety first”

According to assessors’ views on new cycle of the re-certification: “North Star is one of the first units that achieve the second cycle of re-certification as a result of detailed development of the system, scientific application, good resources and high awareness of safety, leaders’ good fulfillment of commitments, good identification and control of hazards and risks, efficiency in response to risks and good operation of key performance indicator system. In addition, North Star should further conduct internal improvement to promote resources, minimize risks and increase awareness for employees”

ISO 4001:2015 is an internationally recognized set of international standards for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems which was established by an approach based on the PDCA model (Plan, Do, Check and Act). In order to achieve certification of this standard, the enterprises must meet effectively all requirements of the Standard, thereby offering practical benefits to employees.
