Schedule Update Of The Project Hanoi Lotte Aquarium

Hanoi Lotte Aquarirum is one of the critical projects of NS in 2022 in order to bring the greatest values to customers towards values for users of the engineering system utilities in one of the largest “Aquariums” in Southeast Asia in general and Vietnam in particular.

Commencement from the end of November 2021 by the inspection of temporary works, the organization of personnel, construction contractors, as well as the completion of the supply and approval procedures for materials and equipment, approval of construction methods, 2D and 3D drawings…and procedures on occupational safety and health according to international standard ISO 45001:2018, up to now – after 4 months of implementation, the project has been completed 80% of the supply of materials, with more than 150 personnel entering in and out, 55% of volume of HVAC system, 45% of volume of Plumbing system, 15% of volume of equipment system and machine room pipeline, 50% of volume of electrical system, 15% of volume of automatic control system.

In the face of the impact of pandemic outbreak after Tet holiday in Hanoi, the results mentioned above have met the plan and progress requested by the Site Management Board in the groundbreaking ceremony of the project, even some systems and items exceed the targets of the project.

The achievement of results above has demonstrated the flexibility of the Site Management Board and the efforts of the project engineers as well as the high productivity of entire workers, teams, and contractors at the project.

For an overall assessment of the early stage to the end of the first quarter of 2022, the Site Management Board has remarked the following advantages and disadvantages:

For advantages: The project is located in Hanoi, near the Head Office, which is advantageous for the supply of materials and human resources, facilitating to speed up the approval of materials as well as the installation progress.

For disadvantages: The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic after Tet has affected the project due to the temporary absence of a number of engineers and workers. However, the high productivity was the foundation to ensure the project progress.

Moreover, the Site Management Board also showed its determination to complete 55% of the total volume before Hanoi enters into the period of hot weather to ensure the handover of the project in advance in mid-October 2022.
